BRGR
Once again, we were disappointed, and baffled, by a place that gets great reviews for food. We don't get it! Although the burgers are 100% grass fed beef we found them to be tasteless and grossly overpriced for the size, even the double. The Rainforest burger had no taste of gruyere or herb mayo, and the buns were bland and boring. The décor is very cute but the music was a little too loud. The few things we can recommend are the delicious and fresh Sweet Potato Fries, and the shakes, especially the Blueberry-Pomegranate. Still, this is no Shake Shack!
Atmosphere
BRGR is cute, fresh, and modern looking. Exposed brick walls and very high wood-beamed ceilings give the feeling of space. Long wooden communal tables sit high and are flanked by (very heavy) wood and metal stools. Along the walls, banquette seating is backed by colorful round leather 'pillows' that give it a fun and youthful air. Rock and pop music is a little too loud to be comfortable.
Service
BRGR has counter service, but is still very friendly. The person who took our order talked with us casually and later came over to see how we liked our food, which was a nice surprise.
Food
We are not sure why BRGR has gotten so many accolades for its food. We found the burgers to be way too small for the price, even the double, and the flavor to be bland and uneventful. The Rainforest burger, which had avocado, gruyere, and herb mayonnaise ($9) tasted like none of those things, and was even less flavorful than a Burger King burger. I'm not even sure there was gruyere or herb mayo on it. The double burger ($10.25) was even worse! On both, the bun was nothing more than a fast food bun, gushy, bland, and white.
With our burgers, we ordered a Trio of sides, which was a combination of french fries, sweet potato fries, and onion straws. Of the three, the sweet potato fries were fresh, crispy, and delicious. The onion straws were good, though a little greasy. And the fries were disappointingly stale and tasteless.
Fortunately, the shakes were good. The signature Blueberry-pomegranate shake was excellent, and the black and white shake nice and chocolate-y (both $5.50) though neither of them could measure-up to the shakes at Shake Shack.

Cleanliness
Mostly clean, though the bathrooms could have used a little attention.
Pros
Cute décor, nice service, good shakes, excellent sweet potato fries.
Cons
Ridiculously small burgers for the price, disappointing flavor, stale french fries.
