Gym Ratings
Since the early 80's, I've visited my share of gyms, even working at many early in my career. Now days, I'm either scouting for a place to workout during my travels or on a never-ending quest to discover unique equipment or creative exercises to showcase on ExRx.net. It was only a natural progression for me to begin reviewing gyms as early as 2009.
Reviews are heavily based on equipment in addition to the following criteria:
5: Excellent 4: Good 3: Average 2: Fair 1: Poor
Potential Limitations
It is difficult to assess the entire experience belonging to a fitness facility in a single visit or even a series of visits. However, a review of this nature is typically sufficient for those who looking for a place to workout while traveling or vacationing in the area.
For those looking to actually join a gym, these reviews may serve as a starting point in finding a well equipped gym in your area. Since people's needs in a fitness facility vary and the caliber of the staff can greatly influence the quality of a gym, you may find that your experience as a member may vary somewhat from what our ratings suggest. Let's face it, a nicely equipped gym is not necessarily indicative of great management or its staff. |
Solutions
For this reason, my staff and I have begun to implement two solutions that we believe may allow us to provide you more well rounded reviews. Firstly, we are beginning to include what members say they like and don't like about a club into some of the reviews. We will continue to add member feedback to more reviews as we move forward.
Secondly, on a trial basis we invite you to submit your own gym reviews, whether are a member or only a single time user of a particular facility. After we receive your review along with your snap shots of the gym, we will conduct additional research and create a joint review base on your submissions. Gym Prices
