We take great joy in our food adventures. Not only is it fun, eating in places around the World, but we also find it interesting and informative to experience cities and cultures through the world of food, even if it's in our own backyard.
Because we have travel, and eaten, so much (too much) friends often ask us where to go and what to try when they travel. In response, we started documenting our personal experiences in 2009, during an extended stay in New York City, and now we have created this section of Weewok.com to share our experiences with others looking for their next food adventure.
Many of our experiences have been great, but then we've also had our share of disappointments. It's not uncommon we try out a restaurant which had been highly-rated on the other mass-mob restaurant review sites, only to find out the experience left much to be desired. We suspect that this may be at least partly attributed to false reviews written by friends, family, and staff of the restaurant. Therefore, our restaurant ratings are by us, and only by us, and we do not allow outside participation. Sorry.
Of course, our ratings are meant to be a guide. Your experiences may differ depending on what you order, your tastes, and personal interactions with the staff, but we try to be honest, objective, and fair. The main thing is, go out and eat! Seriously ..... you look peckish.
Our reviews are based on the following criteria in order of importance:
5: Excellent 4: Good 3: Average 2: Fair 1: Poor
